Almost anywhere, anytime is an excellent venue for magic! You can perform on the bus, on the street, in a pub… anyhwere!

Many magicians turn to the streets as a venue for their magic. As in Walk-Around magic, the street performer must carry his act with him and has to perform completely surrounded. Performing on the street can be very rewarding and many magicians can earn their living purely from tips that they earn performing on the streets.

On the other hand though, when performing on the street, hecklers can become a bit of an issue. Of course you’ll encounter hecklers in any environment but street performers seem to attract them.

Traditionally, good tricks for street performers include the “Linking Rings,” “Cups and Balls” and “Chop cup”. However, if you have other abilities such as juggling, baloon modelling or making music you may wish to consider incorporporating these other talents into your act.
